So, What is Inner Engineering?

Inner Engineering is a technology for well-being, derived from the ancient science of yoga. An authentic program for self empowerment and personal growth, the course opens up the possibility of living life to the fullest human potential. That’s what they claim the effects after joining this program. They conduct Inner Engineering program in two section for beginners and completion course available online and in person at Isha Yoga Center. This course will teach you about various ancient yoga kriya (practice) for personal growth that brings about a shift in the way one perceives and experiences life, work, and the world one lives in.

This book will give you vast knowledge about yoga. Yoga is not just limited to asanas, and breathing practice. The science of yoga is quite simply the science of being in perfect alignment in absolute harmony, in complete sync with the existence. There is four layers to which yoga draws attention are

  1. Physical Body
  2. Mental Body
  3. Energy Body
  4. Etheric Body.

This book talks about all these four layers of yoga in detail. Sadhguru also describes the kriya (practice) for each of this layer of yoga. In this book Sadhguru has also shared some of his personal experiences too. This book mainly talks about destiny, well-being, responsibility, and yoga in detail. This book shows all ancient Indian wisdom about yoga and its different practices (kriya) which can help in your life and change the way you perceive your life.

Quoting some of my favorite lines from the book.

“When pain, misery, or anger happen, it is time to look within you not around you.”

“Creating your destiny means making yourself in such a way that, whatever the events and situations around you, you don’t get crushed by them; you ride them.”

“Responsibility simply means your ability to respond.”

“Reactivity is enslavement. Responsibility is freedom.”

“But without the vulnerability, that voluntary openness to transformation, life won’t sprout.”

“Love is not something you do; it is just the way you are.”

“If you really interested in knowing life in all its depth and dimension, it is imperative that you look inward, not out.”

“Enhancing your perception means enhancing the ability to receive life, just as it is.”

“Just the way you hold your body determines almost everything about you.”

“The way you eat not only decides your physical health, but the very way you think, feel, and experience life.”

“Don’t battle with life. You are not anti-life; you are life.”

“If your humanity were active, there would be no need for morality at all.”
