If you enjoy reading suspense, thriller with some romance fiction story then Sidney Sheldon’s books are your jam. If you have read any Sidney Sheldon’s book then there is no going back, you will be forever a Sidney Sheldon fan. Sidney Sheldon’s novels contain a lot of suspense to keep the reader turning the page. His novels often feature determined woman as a main character who preserves in a tough world run by hostile men. Sheldon crafts his female lead character like Lora Croft but in real world with some vulnerabilities. I personally love reading Sidney Sheldon’s that I spend my all day living his main character and it is hard to put down the book unless I have finished reading it. The suspense, the thrill with a dash of romance will take you to the another world. Some of my favorite books by Sidney Sheldon are Bloodline, the sky is falling, Rage of angles, If tomorrow comes, Chasing tomorrow, The stars shine down and this book The Phoenix.

Sidney Sheldon was an American writer, director and producer. In the 1930s Sheldon was prominent, first working on Broadway plays and then in motion pictures, notably writing the successful comedy ” The Bachelor and the Bobby Soxer (1947)” which earned him an Oscar in 1948. He also has done over 200 television scripts. After turning 50, he began writing best selling romantic suspense novel. His first novel “The naked face” was acclaimed by the New York Times as the best first mystery novel of the year and subsequently each of his highly popular books hit No.1 on the New York Times bestseller list. His 18 novels have sold over 300 million copies in 51 languages. Sheldon is consistently cited as one of the top ten best selling fiction writer of all time.

The Phoenix is full of suspense and thrill. I could not put down this book until I finished reading this. It is a story of girl named Ella Praegers who grown up in a ranch with her grand mother away from the real world. She always felt like an outsider when she went to city to study and work. She was always socially awkward and thought something was wrong with her because of her constant head aches. But Her world changed totally when she met “The Group” which was an undercover organization dealing against crime. She found the pieces about her parents and became the agent for The Group. She found out about the reasons behind her constant head aches and turned it into her gift nobody could have. And her gift turned out to be most valuable asset for The Group. She found a purpose. On her journey she found out lot about herself, her gift, The Group, her parents and met Gabrieal only person who she could trust in The Group.
Let me tell you, this book has no ending and gives the clues of continuity in the next book. Believe me after reading this book, you can’t wait for the continuity book to get launched soon.
