This is another fiction light read. These days I am looking for good fiction book and this was given by a school girl who loves to read. It is is a young adult love story. This book is also about the inner battles you fight everyday without telling anyone and battles you fight with the outside world. This book is about teenage young people. This book mainly focuses on two characters who are so different from each other fighting their own battles and they meet and everything changed, they hold each other’s universe. This is the American high school romance story with some twists.

The author of this book Jennifer Niven is a writer, screenwriter, journalist, and an associate producer at ABC television. She is a New York Times best selling American author who is best known for the 2015 young adult book “All the Bright Places”. This is another good read and also has movie on this book “All the Bright Places” available on Netflix. I have seen that movie and it was so good that got this another best selling book by her to read. She has grown up in Indiana so most of her books are related to that place.

Holding up the universe is the story about Libby Strout who is the America’s fattest teen and Jack Masselin who is cool, sexy and popular teen in the school. Libby has many insecurities, dealing with anxiety and she is trying to cop up with the loss of her mother who was world to her. Jack, on the other hand is pretending to be the coolest and confident guy in the school but he has a secret which he doesn’t share with anyone. These two people meet and they see real self of each other and hold up each other’s universe.
This is a story about courage, dealing with your insecurities and loving your own flaws and having someone by your side who sees the real you and love you for that.
