Beginner’s Guide to Makeup

The first and important step to do makeup is to prep your skin with your skincare routine. I have written a blog about my everyday skincare routine if you don’t have any skincare routine, go check out my morning and night skincare routine, it will help you to set yours. This blog is for every teenage girl trying out makeup and who wants to try makeup but does not know where to start, what to do, what to get and how to do simple everyday makeup. This is very simple, easy and needs only five products to do your makeup. I wish I had someone in my school or college time teaching me about these simple tricks about makeup so I would have not get confused about what products to get from plenty of products available in the market. Here I am using only five products to start with.

1. Concealer

Start with only concealer. When you are a beginner you do not need to start with heavy foundation which has some techniques to apply correctly otherwise it looks cakey. All you need is a good concealer of your skin shade to start with. I recommend you to invest in a good quality concealer and it will last you long. Just apply the concealer to the areas on face which has pigmentation, dark sport and imperfection. The usual areas are under your eyes, around your mouth and other areas which has dark spots. You can simply apply with your fingers or sponge or a brush. I prefer using my fingers and dabbing the product lightly into my skin and not dragging the product. For selecting the right shade if you need assistance visit the nearest beauty store and they will help you out with the right shade for your skin.

2. Loose Powder

To set the concealer in place, you need a good quality loose powder. and with the help of brush or sponge apply the loose powder lightly in dabbing motion where you have applied concealer and also apply loose power to your T zone area of the face which usually tends to get oily easily. Loose powder will lock the concealer to the place and helps to last long. Always choose a lighter shade in loose powder than your concealer, it will help you to brighten your face.

3. Eyebrow Enhancer

A good pair or eyebrows will change your makeup game. For me shaping and filling the eyebrows is so much important than using a concealer. Many people don’t give the importance to it and just trim it once in a month and for them they are sorted. but shaping and filling your eyebrows is a game changer. I like my eyebrows to be very thick. and I use eyebrow pencil to shape and fill. Frankly I can not do without my eyebrow pencil. It is must have in my makeup pouch. Get a good eyebrow pencil and use everyday to shape and fill in the eyebrows and see the difference by yourself.

4. Lip and Cheek Tint

For a makeup beginners, you do not need hundreds of lipstick or blush. All you need is a lip and cheek tint duo which works best both for your lip and cheek and even you can use same on your eyelids. Get just two different shades of lip and cheek tint like peach and pink or even red and you are sorted. Or if you already have some lipsticks then it will work as your blush too. yes, you can use your lipsticks on your cheeks as a blush and on your eyelids too.

5. Mascara

Are you a mascara girl or an eyeliner girl? if you are a beginner and you have trouble doing your eyeliner, I have a way for you, just skip the eyeliner. Use mascara and it instantly opens up your eyes. I personally do not use eyeliner in my everyday makeup but I can not skip mascara. it is must have for me. Mascara will lengthen and give volume to your eyelashes.

This is the simplest and easiest everyday makeup you can try on as a beginner and it gives you fresh everyday makeup look. Try it and tell me how do you like it?
