What’s in my Makeup Pouch! (Travel Edition)

When you are travelling, going on a vacation, you don’t want to carry everything that you have in your makeup vanity box. It will be too bulky and you do not end up using every products as you don’t want to have all glam up look, which also ended up spending most of your time in getting ready on your vacation which you surely don’t want to do.

Choosing those products which can be used more than one way, like get two different shade of lip and cheek tint and you don’t have to carry all bulky different blush and eye-shadow pallets. You can use your face highlighter on your eyelid when you want all glam up look for that dinner date night. You can use your lipstick as your blush and eye-shadow color. And your contour and bronzer pallet can also be used on your eyelid to create minimal look to all brown smoky eye look.

Invest in product which can be used multiple ways and invest in good quality products. Here I am skipping the foundation and eye-shadow pallet. You do not need full coverage glam on your holidays, all you need is some products to enhance your features. The products I carry while on vacation are mentioned below.

1. Concealer

Here I am skipping the foundation so I have two concealer that I use mostly, one is of M.A.C. which is of my same skin tone for even skin look and other concealer is one shade lighter than my skin tone to highlight the under eye and T-zone area.

2. Lip and Cheek Tint

These two are my go to lip and cheek tint/cream. One is from ETUD dear darling tint and another is by Kay beauty in the shade Cozy coral. This two products are all you need for that beautiful blush on cheeks to put it on your eyelid for some color and can be used as lip tint. You can go from monochromatic look using same shade on cheeks, lips and eyelid or play with different shades.

3. Setting Powder

This is my holygrail setting powder. I prefer using loose powder over compact one for its lasting effect but I am in search for good compact powder so I don’t have to carry this bulky box while travelling. But for now, i can’t do without this. It set makeup beautifully and I am in the shade 15 light.

4. Contour/ Bronzer Pallet

This compact contour/ bronzer pallet is perfect to get that bronzy look on vacation. It also can be used as your eye shadow to give eyes little dimension. It has two brown shades to bronze and contour and one lighter shade can be used as your compact powder.

5. Eyebrow Pencil

Defining eyebrows can change your overall look and it is must have for me. Currently using this eyebrow pencil by Innisfree. It is in shade dark brown and has arch applicator, easy to use and spooly on the other side.

6. Kajal/ Eyeliner + Mascara

For eyes, I chose only a brown colored eyeliner/kajal pencil and mascara. I have skipped the eye shadow pallet and you can use lip and cheek tint, contour pallet and face highligher as eye shadow and create simple look to full glam look.

7. Face Highlighter

This highlighter by Becca in Champinge Pop is best suited to medium to fair skin tone. It is my holygrail face highlighter and gives that glowy dewy look.

8. Lip shades

I chose this three shades for the lips. One is by Kay beauty in the shade Fashionista (nude pink), another is from Loreal Paris Rouge signature matte liquid lipstick in the shade 129 I lead (Rust orange/brown nude) and another is by NYX lip creame in the shade Monte Carlo (Red).

9. Setting Spray

Setting spray is most important product to carry while travelling, to set the makeup for all day you need the setting spray and this one by MAC prep + prime works best to set the makeup for all day long.
