Wedding season is around the corner, and what is the best excuse to play dressed up and all dolled up to attend those weddings as a guest or bridesmaid. Wearing traditional Indian wear is something I always get excited about. This time, I chose to wear classic, elegant, simple yet traditional look. I went for bright and pastel colors as it was a day-time function. I wore this beautiful Banarasi print bright yellow colored lehngha and paired it with full sleeve custom made blouse with beautiful back pattern and pastel colored organza dupatta. I chose to wear classic traditional earrings skipping necklace and other jewelry to give it simple yet elegant look. The earrings are the statement piece has goddess Lakshmiji carved on the top. I also wore a simple, delicate bracelet and my pink potli bag.
For hair and makeup which I did all by myself and I really enjoyed doing it after a long time. I kept the makeup minimal and nude with that dewy skin look. I really prepped my skin well using my skincare products giving a good base before applying makeup. I kept it nude and giving it bronzy sun tanned dewy look and gave that Indian touch by wearing Bindi. I tied my hair in a sleek bun. I really enjoyed creating this look.
Pro tips to all the bridesmaids out there is simplicity is ultimate sophistication so keep it simple yet elegant. Do not overdo it especially with your jewelry, hair and makeup. Your outfit should be so light that you are able to dance, enjoy and help the bride who is probably carrying a ton heavy lehngha. Lehngha with pockets is always a good idea!
